While most Graphic Designers think in flat print terms, Kara's background in Interior Architecture provides a rare qualification to visualize in both 2D and 3D. Her exceptional understanding of how graphics are experienced in space, and how identity can flex beyond traditional printed collateral, produces higher quality, singular designs that are experienced, not seen.
Having honed her skills at prestigious hospitality design firms such as Islyn Studio, Brand Bureau | Avroko, and Crème Design, Kara has a rich portfolio encompassing brand strategy, identities, brand guidelines, exhibitions, packaging, uniforms, signage, menus, illustrations, social media strategies, photography directives, and environmental graphics. She has contributed her skills to permanent establishments, online business ventures, and temporary pop-up initiatives alike, showcasing adaptability across diverse business landscapes.
Originally from Australia, Kara garnered substantial experience in Interior Architecture before relocating to London to further pursue her passion for interior design. During her time in Australia, she also served as a project manager at the Not-For-Profit Arts Organization, FORM. Her global curiousity and exposure has fueled her thirst for research and discovery, and informed a taste level that is sophisticated, detail-oriented, and contextually sensitive.
